Fun Filled Weekend

We had a really great weekend! Aunt Betsy came in for a visit. Bets was thrilled when Landon actually got her name down, last time she saw him he kept calling her Grandma and Gigi. But when he calls for her it sounds exactly like paci. I found myself explaining over and over, No buddy, you can't have your paci. We aren't going to sleep. It wasn't until he started adding the Aunt to it that I realize he was wanting his "Aunt Paci!" After 3 days the name stuck. Guess it's better than being called Grandma!!

The weekend was kicked off with a drive to the airport. The airport just so happens to be one of Buggy's absolute favorite places. With good reason,  during about 50% of these visits we end up with someone very exciting for a period of time...like an Aunt for example. We spend a lot of time talking about the airport and airplanes that bring and take our near and dear.

Friday night we had an impromptu photo shoot in the Bluebonnets and then ate crawfish by the "Ocean." The "Ocean" is actually Lake Conroe but every time Landon sees the body of water he starts squealing and screaming "Ocean" "Ocean" "Boat on the Ocean". Not real sure why he calls it the ocean since he's been on the lake for 2 whole summers and to the ocean only once. It's a mystery...maybe we'll get it all turned around this boating season.

All day Saturday was spent at the Houston Rodeo. I think we covered the entire event and saw every last thing there was to see. We went to the Carnival, the Petting Zoo, the Butterfly House, the LiveStock Show, the Market Place, the Birthing Center, the Worm Exhibit, and the Concert. We saw chicks pecking their way out of the shells, bees making honey, cows getting milk, 5 yr olds riding on lambs, bull riding, Brad Paisley rocking it and Landon fall a sleep in a public place. But the best part of the whole weekend was that it was spent with family.

I'm bummed I didn't get any pics of Buggy with his Aunt Paci...totally dropped the ball on that one!
